Black & Gold Fiber Wall Sculpture

Dark, dramatic, and quietly regal. This piece gathers a deep fall of black fiber through an organic, hand-shaped black ring whose softly irregular, textured edge gives it the feel of something carved or cast rather than made.

At the neck, two bands of rich marigold gold are hand-wrapped and joined by fine vertical threads, and those same golden lines continue down through the black fringe, catching the light as they fall. The effect is bold but refined, like a line of gold stitching on a black gown.

At 21 inches long, it has real presence. Hang it alone as a statement on a light wall, or let it anchor a gallery grouping of smaller pieces.

Every strand is cut, gathered, and wrapped by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike. Small variations in fiber and finish are part of its character.
