Tall Black & Jute Fiber Wall Sculpture

Graphic, sculptural, and impossible to walk past. This tall piece begins with a thick ring hand-wrapped in natural Jute, through which a full bundle of deep black fiber is looped and cinched with a smooth jute collar.

Below, the black fiber divides into strands that are wrapped by hand in alternating blocks of black and golden Jute. As the strands weave and interlock, the pattern reads almost like a checkerboard or a chain of links, a bold play of dark and light that shifts as you move around it.

At 53 inches long, this is a commanding statement piece, made for a tall wall, a stairwell, a high-ceilinged entry, or beside a doorway where its full length can be seen.

Every strand is gathered, looped, and wrapped by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike. Small variations in fiber and finish are part of its character.
